Requesting a Home Visit:
Patients may be seen at their home if the GP deems it is necessary. Requests for home visits should be made before 10.30 a.m. Urgent calls are accepted at any time.
Calls to the house should only be requested if you are too unwell to come to the surgery. We would ask you, if at all possible, to attend the surgery where we can examine you more thoroughly than at home. If you do not have a car, it is not the doctor's responsibility to arrange transport. Car transport is often available from friends, relatives or taxi firms.
If a home visit is not considered necessary by the GP, the patient will been seen at the surgery on the same day at a mutually agreed time.
